1. Overview
BuyerStream, Inc. ("BuyerStream," "we," "our," or "us") operates a real-time audience intelligence platform that resolves anonymous web search activity into identified B2B and B2C consumer profiles. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the rights you have over it.
By accessing or using the BuyerStream platform, website, or any related services (collectively, the "Services"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this Policy.
2. Data We Collect
2a. Keyword & Intent Signal Data
BuyerStream monitors publicly observable web search activity and keyword patterns across third-party data sources. When an individual searches terms that match your configured keyword criteria, our platform records a behavioral intent signal associated with that activity. This includes the keyword or keyword category, approximate timestamp, and associated geographic context.
2b. Identity & Contact Records
We resolve intent signals into named consumer and business profiles by cross-referencing licensed third-party data sources. Resolved profiles may include:
- Full legal name (first and last)
- Verified personal or business email address(es)
- Direct phone numbers (mobile and/or landline)
- Full physical street address, city, state, and ZIP code
- Company name and job title (for B2B profiles)
- Match confidence score and intent category
2c. Location Data
Physical addresses and geographic identifiers (city, state, ZIP) are derived from licensed identity and address-verification data providers. BuyerStream does not use GPS tracking, device-level location APIs, or real-time geofencing. All geographic data is sourced from static address records linked to a resolved identity.
2d. Platform & Account Data
When you create a BuyerStream account, we collect your name, email address, company name, billing information (processed via a PCI-compliant payment processor), and your configured stream preferences, including keyword lists and geographic filters.
2e. Usage & Telemetry Data
We collect standard server logs, browser metadata, IP addresses, and in-app usage events (e.g., dashboard page views, export clicks) to operate, secure, and improve the platform.
3. How We Use Data
We use the data we collect to:
- Deliver your configured real-time audience stream with resolved contact records
- Process billing and manage your subscription
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
- Improve match accuracy, intent signal quality, and platform performance
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
BuyerStream does not sell your account data or personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Resolved audience records delivered to you through the platform are licensed data assets governed by your Subscriber Agreement and these Terms.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Where applicable (including under GDPR and similar frameworks), our legal bases for processing personal data include:
- Legitimate interests — to operate our platform, deliver intent data services, and prevent fraud
- Contractual necessity — to fulfill your subscription and deliver the Services you have purchased
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws, court orders, or regulatory requirements
- Consent — where we have obtained explicit consent, such as for optional communications
5. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to Know — You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, and the business or commercial purpose for collecting it.
- Right to Delete — You may request deletion of personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing — BuyerStream does not sell personal information about our platform subscribers. With respect to resolved audience data records, see Section 3 above and your Subscriber Agreement.

6. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We may share data in the following limited circumstances:
- Licensed data providers — We license identity, address, and phone data from vetted third-party data brokers and verification providers who comply with applicable data laws.
- Service providers — We share data with processors who help us operate the platform (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics), bound by data processing agreements.
- Legal compliance — We may disclose data when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BuyerStream, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
7. Data Retention
We retain resolved audience records in your dashboard for as long as your subscription is active. Upon cancellation, your stream data is deleted within 90 days unless a longer retention period is required by law. Account and billing records are retained for up to 7 years for tax and compliance purposes.
8. Security
BuyerStream employs industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted to or stored on our platform.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Services are intended for business users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us at privacy@buyerstream.io and we will promptly delete it.
